Mid-Snake River Watershed Vegetation Database

Welcome!

The wildflowers and other vegetation depicted in this database are from the watersheds of the Owyhee, Malheur, Burnt, Powder, Weiser, Payette, Boise, and Bruneau Rivers along with smaller creeks that enter the mid section of the Snake River in southwestern Idaho and southeastern Oregon. Plants described here range from those adapted to low elevations along the Snake River up watersheds to the surrounding mountain tops. Some species occur over many elevations and plant communities, while others are restricted to narrow environmental zones.

In recent years this vegetation database is solely supported by Scientific Ecological Services, an Oregon S corporation, owned by Candace and Clint Shock.

Pictures are entered so that they can be viewed in much greater detail by clicking once or twice on the photographs. It is my hope to add many additional species and photographs. If you find errors, please contact me.
