Skunkbrush sumac (Rhus trilobata) is a perennial shrub widespread in the west and a member of the sumac family. It is only rarely encountered in Malheur County, Oregon.
The slender branches were split and used for basket weaving. The fruit are important for fall and winter food for birds. The fruit have been used for drinks and medicinal purposes.
