Dandelion is the most distributed of broadleaf species, and is a common weed of lawns and gardens. It is found in all parts of the world. Dandelion spreads by wind blown seeds, the only way to keep dandelions from speading is to prevent the white seed heads from forming. A very common issue in suburban neighborhoods is that one resident works to eliminate the dandelion from their yard, but their work is frustrated, because not all neighbors prevent their dandelions from going to seed, therefore the wind helps reseed the other neighbors\' yard.
