The Dwarf Purple Monkeyflower is small but pretty flower that rarely reaches heights over 10cm. The flowers are a bright magenta with yellow and deep red marks in down the throat of the plant. It can be found in dry open areas, like sand or gravel, anywhere from the plains into the foothills from central Washington south to the east of the Cascades to northern California and east to southwestern Montana, northwestern Wyoming, and northeastern Nevada.
