Bur Buttercup or hornseed buttercup is a common weed in the north western states, but is native to southeastern Europe. It only threatens small grain crops, and is toxic to sheep. The fruit that grows on bur buttercup, is commonly known by the little round balls that stick to shoe laces with there velcrowish type spines.
